Any data other than the verified open rates and clicks are misleading if presented to the client. While our mail servers send your eShot to the entire database of recipients (check with your account executive the current list size), deliverability is monitored to be around 94 to 97%. This is as result of soft/hard bounces such as “Mailbox Full” and “User No Longer Exists” errors.
Typically, an unsolicited eShot campaign would result in an open rate of 5 to 10% for any given message. From the recipients that have opened the email, while another 5 to 10% will go on to interact with the email in terms of click to read more (if there is a properly formulated call for action).
Additionally, if the content is attractive enough, recipients may go on to forward the message to their own friends and distribution lists.
On the other hand, an eShots sent to your own database of clients would yield up to 70% response rates as the recipients are pre-existing clients expecting your communication newsletters.
